Profile of the founder:
Krishna Sooben – FCCA MBA
Krishna is a Chartered Qualified Accountant whose journey started with Deloitte. Trained in Central London, he gained valuable exposure at an early stage to a wide portfolio of clients and worked in various areas such as analysing financial statements, auditing , personal & corporate tax planning and business consultancy.
He has also held Head of Finance roles in industry : working on larger businesses in areas of treasury management; budgetary and forecasting; preparing Board monthly pack, liaising with external auditors, preparing group consolidation accounts for publishing, corporate tax computations (incl. deferred tax) matters , coaching a large finance team and meetings with commercial bankers.
He has held a 3-year non-executive director and trustee role with Westminster Citizen advice Bureau and is always keen on taking on challenging non-executive roles
He has also participated in an HMRC consultation programme in 201o on corporation tax reform.
Being fluent in French, he was offered a valuable experience in travelling to Senegal (2007) to set up a new finance function for an Oxfam local sustainable project.
ACCA – MBA prize award:
Krishna received an award from ACCA for the ‘Best Overall Performance for the ACCA MBA’ (Jun 2009).
He received a further award from Oxford Brookes University for the ‘2009 Business School Prize’ for best dissertation (on the global MBA programme).
The idea of embarking on the MBA was to apply his accounting knowledge to areas of management and strategic planning thus strengthening his positioning in offering advisory service to clients.
